Sorta Myeslf x Gloomius MaximusIt was a dark and murky day out in the Galaxy of Gloom- that is  if they have days there – and it's most maniacal resident, the evil-turned-good but still very gloomy Gloomius Maximus, was floating about in his rusty, old space ship.

"Argh...." he said bearing little depth. "There's nothing to do and no one to play with today. Both Olie and Zowie said they were busy today... what do I do? What so important about this day that they can't play.

Late Christmas present for all the Sanderson fangirls: half-naked Sandy. :meow:

This is my contest entry for the :iconguardian-sandy: Spare Time contest. What does Sandy do in his spare time?

Headcanon:


In the movie, Sandy seems pretty strong when wielding his whips, carrying Jack, beating the crap out of Pitch, etc. How does he get to be so strong? How does he workout? He swims around in the bay of his island of course!

But then I guess Sandy also just chillaxes in the water at some point (guy loves to sleep, why not?) and lets his shell guards play on his belly.

Everything with this picture is from the book "The Sandman". (Read it. That book has some of the best art!) Of course the Island of the Sleepy Sands isn't mentioned in the movie but it is the main setting of Sandy's book. And when you live on a private island that's in the middle of oceanic nowhere, why not go for a swim?

A former shooting star, turned into an island where mermaids sing and shells play. The Island of Sleepy Sands is a great place.

It's nice to see that someone has mentioned his island and the fact that he's friends with tattooed mermaids. (Sandy gets all the ladies)

It seems in the movie-verse (according to the game), Sandy lives in a huge space ship type vehicle. Make sort of sense when you think about his background according to the book. In my own headcanon, I see him realizing that a stationary island is not the best for him so he forms the island of sand into a huge spaceship that travels high in the skies of the world and none of the other guardians have ever been there, as he sort of doesn't let them. He still has his shell guards in there and he goes back and visits the mermaids when he can. Of course, that is my own personal view on the whole matter.

This picture is very cute. I think you captured Sandy quite well.
